East african Statistics of Kenya’s: The country’s population now stands at just over 38.6 million people. And there are still more women than men in the country. The 2009 Population and Housing census results were finally released today a year after the exercise was conducted. Results for eight districts in North Eastern and Rift Valley provinces have however been nullified and a repeat census ordered following what Planning Minister Wycliffe Oparanya termed as inconsistencies in population data.
